Thriller Antagonist:

Usually psychotic due to past experience.
May have strong ideologies.
Isn't always obvious at the beginning.
Kill or threaten protagonist.


Thriller Protagonist:

Ordinary person.
Find the answer to something.
Scared/threatened/vulnerable.
Middle class, big house.


Typical Thriller Conventions:

Weapons used.
Depending on location, sub-genre changes.
Fast paced/slow and lingering.
false endings.
Use of silence.
End with something sad/scary/spooky.
